Pervasive services and computing are emerging as the next computing paradigm in which infrastructure and services are seamlessly available anywhere, anytime, and in any format. This exciting new paradigm is the result of recent research and technological advances in wireless & sensor networks, distributed systems, mobile & agent computing and autonomic computing & services. The 2006 IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Services (ICPS’06), to be held in Lyon, France provides a forum for researchers, engineers, application & service developers and users to present their latest advances in the field of pervasive computing and services.
