Emerging and Re-Emerging Diseases caused by bacteria or viruses represent an ever present danger to man and animals, despite the enormous progress in controlling infectious diseases achieved over the past half century. Some of these diseases agents could be used for bio-terror activities. This program is designed to increase awareness and understanding by human and animal health professionals of the epidemiology and nature of emerging and reemerging diseases, and their bio-terror potentials.

Please join us for presentations by our faculty on April 29, 2006 at the facilities of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.
