Breakthroughs in our understanding of innate immune activation are increasingly being applied clinically. The Innate Immunity World Congress has assembled leaders from academic, government and industrial research to discuss the current state of the art and prospects for the future. Selective manipulation of innate immune responses holds great potential in a variety of therapeutic areas and the meeting will focus on cancer, infectious disease, allergy/asthma, vaccines and biodefense.
