The conference is designed to bring together academics, established researchers, and students with disabilities in a forum that will cultivate inquiry and foster an understanding of a previously marginalised group of people seeking a tertiary education. Campus diversity represents an educational benefit for all students that cannot be duplicated in an homogenous academic setting. This conference will also focus on researching hidden disabilities,access to information in alternative formats, technological developments in access to information, teaching students with disabilities, dealing with emergencies on campus,social and cultural aspects of disability, socio-emotional barriers, and disability in the African context.
