ASGA's Southeast Student Government Training Conference
On February 10-11, 2008, the American Student Government Association will sponsor the "Southeast Student Government Training Conference." The conference is a unique opportunity for student leaders from Southeastern colleges and universities to meet in Daytona Beach, Florida for a day of intense training and consulting on how to improve and enhance their Student Governments.
ASGA's 2008 "Southeast Student Government Training Conference" is being hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Student Government Association.
This one-day forum will allow Student Government leaders at your college or university to share ideas and solutions, receive training and personal consultations from the acclaimed ASGA staff of SG experts, and to network with your peers nationwide.
The 2008 "Southeast Student Government Training Conference" features:
� Intensive workshops designed to address specific needs and solutions for Student Governments
� Some of the most experienced and knowledgeable staff and presenters in the nation to help you get the most out of your term as an SG officer or leader
� Networking opportunities with SG officers and advisors throughout the Southeast and the entire nation
� Workshops and presentations that directly apply to collegiate advisors and administrators
� A keynote address entitled �How Important is Student Government?"
What is the cost?
$139 for ASGA members, and $239 for non-members (Register by December 1, 2007 to get these early-bird rates)
What will be the total attendance?
Attendance will be limited to 200 SG leaders and advisors.
What�s included in the registration fee?
The fee includes admission to all workshops and presentations, extensive hand-outs, a buffet lunch, copies of Student Leader magazine, a discount on ASGA membership, and private consultations by appointment only. Breakfast, dinner, travel and airfare, hotel accommodations, and incidentals are not included.
Where will the event be held?
The conference will be held on the beautiful Emby-Riddle Aeronautical University campus in Daytona Beach, Florida. ERAU's Student Government Association is an ASGA member institution. Daytona Beach is just an hour from Orlando and many popular amusement and theme parks such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.
