SCOPE OF THE SPECIAL SESSION

The session theme is a union of communication technologies, multimedia computing and analysis techniques. We know that a multimedia communication environment includes not only real-time multimedia communication, but also the analysis of the content of to be sent multimedia. Technologies of multimedia communication computing make great progress in recent years and also today are quite different from they has been in the past. Therefore, multimedia communication presents challenges to research and system design in many areas, from physical layer of networking considerations up to applications design. The purpose of this technical session is to report novel ideas and latest research results relevant to the development and implementation issues of multimedia communication in wireless and wire- line communication systems. Papers surveying the state-of-the-art techniques related to multimedia. The topics considered in this technical session include, but are not limited to:
Multimedia communication systems
Multimedia communication applications technologies
Content aware multimedia communication
User friendly multimedia communication
Multimedia communication in wireless environment.
Design and performance analysis of multimedia communication
Experiments, trials & deployment

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the special session. Prospective authors are invited to submit their paper (about 6 pages - single space, font size of 10 to 12) to Session Chair by the due date. Papers should be submitted electronically in PDF format (or postscript) by sending it as an e-mail attachment to ashraf@csie.nctu.edu.tw. The length of the Camera-Ready papers will be limited to 6 (IEEE style) pages.
The first page of the submitted paper should include: title of the paper, name, affiliation, postal address, E-mail address, telephone number, and Fax number for each author. The first page should also include the name of the author who will be presenting the paper and a maximum of 5 keywords. For other details to the submission, authors please follow the guideline in CCCT'05.
