| Description |
The theme of the conference is “Advances in Energy Research & Development”. Special emphasis will be on emerging energy conversion technologies, conservation and management strategies. The objective is to optimize the utilization of basic energy resources in the major energy consuming sectors in the arid region of the Arabian Peninsula.
The theme of the conference is divided into three parts: One part will be devoted to oral presentations and discussions of the accepted papers. The second part will include lectures of invited speakers who have an excellent record and experience on the subject of energy. The third part is an exhibition for industrial companies in Kuwait and the Gulf area to show their products and latest developments in the field of energy.
The conference will be held for three days starting on November 21, 2005. The sessions will be divided according to the number of papers received. The sessions will start at 9:00 AM until 12:00 and from 2 to 6 PM. However, the exhibition will take place throughout the conference starting 9:30 AM to 9 PM. The ICERD-3 will be conducting two workshops concurrently with the conference on Wednesday, November 23, 2005. The workshops will be conducted from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

Early registration fee for the conference is 60 KD (US $ 200) covering the cost of reception, lunches, dinners, coffee breaks, banquet, tours, and the conference proceedings. Late registration fee is 80 KD (US $ 265). Student fee is 20 KD (US $ 65) for the registration. Registration fees (accepted in Kuwaiti Dinars only) are payable to Office of Consultation and Career Development, Kuwait University by registered cheque or money order.
The registration fee for the workshop is 40 KD (US $ 132).
