The twelfth Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference (APSEC) will be held in Taipei , Taiwan at the Grand Hotel, in December 15-17, 2005. APSEC is the leading international conference in software engineering and technology in the Asia-Pacific region. The theme of APSEC 2005 is to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry, academia and government to share the enabling technology in software engineering to meet the regional needs. This conference will include special sessions on specific advanced aspects of the theory, design and applications of software engineering. Papers presenting original work in all aspects of software engineering are invited. Submissions include, but are not limited to the following topics:

- Agent-Based Software Engineering

Paper Submission
Paper submissions will be reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical quality, and relevance to software concepts and technologies. All submissions must be prepared in IEEE format (instructions at: http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm ).
Submission of papers will be carried out electronically via the Web ( http://selab.csie.ncu.edu.tw/apsec05 ) and be in PDF or postscript format. The summaries should include authors' names, addresses, affiliation, and telephone numbers. After acceptance, the authors will be asked to prepare a six-page paper, not exceed eight pages for inclusion in the proceedings of the conference.
