| Description |
We aim to bring together researchers from different fields (physics, biophysics, microbiology, cytology, etc) to foster the flow of information between these diverse groups of researchers. Most of all, we hope that the workshop results in new collaborations that will improve research efficiency.
We will be scheduling abstracts on Optics of
- bacteria and spores
- blood cells
- marine particles
studied with
- theoretical approaches (DDA, T-matrix, FDTD, etc.)
- experimental techniques (flow cytometry, imaging, fluorimetry, Raman spectroscopy, etc.)
- inverse problems (image analysis, neural networks, parameterization, refractometry, etc.)
We stress that this is a workshop, and not a conference. Presentations should be open-ended, looking toward future research, with ample time reserved for interaction and discussion.
