This conference will focus on current developments that will impact most organizations with respect to 1099 and 1042-S Information Reporting processes, mandatory withholding, backup withholding and the penalities assessed by the IRS and state agencies. We will present in-depth discussions on 2005 regulatory updates, the IRS current focus on audits related to compliance with 1099 and 1042S regulations and withholding, P Cards and the QPCA program, State Reporting and B-Notices, Penalty Assessments and more. Presentatins and materials apply to tax directors, legal, managers and accounts payable personnel. Beginner preparation classes will also be offered to familiarize attendees who are new to this area with the basics of regulatory requirements and to prepare them for attending and participating in the general sessions and workgroups.
