| Description |
NGO representatives from throughout the world will gather in the Dominican Republic from November 17-20 for WANGO Annual Conference 2005. Also participating will be prominent international and national leaders from the intergovernmental, governmental, and for-profit sectors who share an interest in helping NGOs accomplish their vital tasks.
The Conference will deal with how to eliminate the threats faced by millions of children in the world today. Children are our future, and by investing in them, we can create a stronger, healthier world.
Who Should Attend
NGOs, governmental and intergovernmental leaders from all parts of the world.
Objectives
To raise awareness of and to address the abuses suffered by millions of children throughout the world. These abuses include sexual trafficking, forced labor and forced participation in armed conflict.
To create, through the unique environment of the conference, an unprecedented opportunity for networking and to provide practical tools for NGOs to better achieve their missions by helping them to connect, partner, and multiply their contributions to solve humanitys basic problems.
