| Description |
The European Powder Diffraction Conference (EPDIC) is the only European conference completely dedicated to all aspects of the analysis of polycrystalline materials by diffraction methods. Started in Munich in 1991, EPDICs have rapidly become reference points for all researchers in the field and are now regarded to be ideal places for the presentation and diffusion of new developments in powder diffraction instrumentation, analysis, and applications.
EPDIC conferences are intended to be the place where all powder diffractionists, independently of whether they are more interested in the theoretical advances or in the application of the techniques, can meet and exchange ideas and experiences.
The Swiss Society for Crystallography together with the University of Geneva are happy and proud to host the EPDIC meeting, already the 10th in the series, in Geneva, Switzerland for the first time, and we trust that this event will be a memorable one both scientifically and socially.
The University of Geneva has long been involved in powder diffraction; it is enough to remember the success of computer programs LAZY PULVERIX and recently FOX.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Geneva for a meeting that we want to hold in a scientifically stimulating, yet relaxed atmosphere.
