PURPOSE
The IASTED International Conference on Control and Applications (CA 2006) will act as a major forum for international researchers and practitioners interested in all areas of control and applications. It will be an opportunity to present and observe the latest research, results, and ideas in these areas. All papers submitted to this conference will be peer evaluated by at least two reviewers. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution.

CA 2006 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International Conference on: Modelling and Simulation (MS 2006)

LOCATION
Visiting the island city of Montreal is truly an experience. During its 360-year history, Montreal has been a French settlement, a British stronghold, and today is the world’s second-largest French-speaking city. European flair has blended with North American savoir-faire and old world charm has mixed with modern style. Relive the atmosphere of the 19th century as you stroll through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal. Enjoy the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica or the awe-inspiring collection at the Museum of Fine Arts. There are many top-notch galleries all around the Museum District on the fashionable Sherbrooke Street. Beneath the forested rise of Mont Royal, downtown's leafy squares pulse with energy from morning rush hour to the wee hours of the night when visitors and locals revel in the clubs along Ste-Catherine Street and the more intimate lounges of the Plateau and Latin Quarter. Montreal is a jazz lovers paradise, boasts an outstanding orchestra, superb English and French-speaking theatre companies, and is the home of the international phenomenon, Cirque du Soleil. Near the Olympic Stadium you will find the famous Botanical Gardens and the unique Biodome, which houses four distinct ecosystems. In May you will be swept away by playoff hockey fever as the city cheers on the legendary Montreal Canadiens.
