Call For Papers
Advanced Computing & Communication Society (ACS) , Bangalore, INDIA
National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, INDIA
Conference Theme : AUTONOMIC COMPUTING
The Fourteenth International Conference On Advanced Computing & Communications (ADCOM 2006) will be held during 20 - 23 December 2006. This conference is organized by the Advanced Computing & Communication Society (ACS), Bangalore, and, hosted at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK Deemed University), Surathkal, Srinivasnagar (P.O), Mangalore, India.
The objective of ADCOM2006 is to bring together researchers and practitioners, who investigate concepts, methods, techniques, and tools to design and evolve autonomic computing – hardware, software and communication systems. To be autonomic, a system must configure and reconfigure itself, continually optimize itself, self-secure and recover from malfunction, or protect itself, while keeping its complexity hidden from the user. Interested academicians / researchers / industry people are requested / invited to take part in pre-conference tutorials, paper presentation sessions and workshop sessions. Students including those who pursue Ph.D are also invited to contribute to the Ph.D forum and students’ paper presentation and contest.
TOPICS OF INTEREST include (but not limited to)
Autonomic Computing & Communications
Value Added Applications and Services in autonomic computing
Autonomic Applications & Architectures
Multi agent systems and scout systems
Personal Autonomic Computing
Autonomic and pervasive Grids
Bio-system analogs in autonomic computing
Interfaces and self managing components
Security services/models in Autonomic Computing
Toolkits, Languages for autonomic computing
ADCOM 2006 will consist of a peer-reviewed technical paper presentation program, short papers and posters, demos, tutorials, workshops, panels, invited sessions, Ph.D students forum and students paper presentation & contest, on the same or related topics along with industrial track / presentations and exhibitions.
RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL PROGRAM
Research community and academics are invited to submit theoretical and application oriented full, short, poster, work-in-progress or demo papers making a significant research contribution on autonomic computing – hardware, software and communication systems. Papers with original research and unpublished work are to be submitted.
All accepted conference papers will be published in the conference proceedings, published by a reputed publisher. Selected papers will be further considered for publication in special issues of a few journals of International repute.
Researchers and business developers are invited to send their contributions dealing with innovative work in autonomic computing & services with a high market relevance or of special importance for the industry / public. Demonstration proposals should include the description of the demo, the presenters and affiliated organization. These contributions should offer conference participants hands-on experience of the latest developments.
TUTORIALS, WORKSHOPS AND INVITED SESSIONS
Tutorials, workshops and invited sessions should focus on up to date technologies and solutions for autonomic computing and applications. Potential instructors are invited to submit proposals of two-page description and motivation for the topic of the tutorial, workshop, or the invited session including a concise description of the contents and goals with a few keywords for each section, a rough estimate of the time to be spent on each section, the level of the tutorial / workshop / invited session, the required audience experience, and the speaker(s) biography.
STUDENTS’ PAPER PRESENTATIONS
Students and Ph.D scholars are invited to present their original contributions in ADCOM 2006. Ph.D forum and students paper presentation contest in the area of autonomic computing will be an opportunity in this context.
Proposals are invited for high-quality panel sessions. Proposals should include a description and motivation for the topic to be discussed, as well as two pages devoted to the biographies of willing panelists
The conference will host an exhibition that will allow organizations to showcase their products, give demonstrations, and offer solutions and delivery mechanisms to interested audience.
IT Industry and companies are welcomed to present their contributions and commitment in autonomic computing and to IT deployment / improvement by financial support of the ADCOM2006 conference.
