There is no doubt that both Lean and Six Sigma communities have seen a surge in interest coming from the government direction. The classic example is the saving of $10million since 2000 at City of Fort Wayne after Mayor Graham Richard has been pushing Six Sigma projects heavily. This example has seen organization-wide culture change, buy-in to the methodologies, effective training and of course significant cost savings.

In response to the increase in interest from the government, six sigma IQ (global Six Sigma research and conference provider) has created a new and specifically focused conference to provide a knowledge-sharing experience, especially for government. Comprising a broad range of speakers from the military and government departments to state and even city governments, the conference looks set to provide a solid and unique addition to six sigma IQ’s already extensive portfolio.
