New Opportunities in Developing and Financing
RUSSIAN TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE
15th – 16th June 2006
Le Royal Meridien National Hotel, Moscow
The development and modernization of the transport infrastructure is vital for the Russian fast growing and expanding economy. However the state is lacking financial means to implement many of such projects. PPPs (as part of project finance and PFI) could be the solution for this dilemma. With the recent adoption of the new Law "On Concessions" and several pilot projects that are currently at different stages of implementation the vast array of commercial opportunities for new projects appears on the Russian market.
The participation of the Russian Government representatives in the conference will enable delegates to obtain first-hand information on the latest developments in the Russian transport infrastructure sector, as well as about future projects in that sector. This is also a unique opportunity to learn about the Russian Government’s plans to further incentivise the development of that area.
Several case studies of project finance deals (including PPP) will help delegates to visualize the emerging opportunities.
Representatives of large international organizations (World Bank, EBRD, IFC) will make a valuable contribution sharing international experience and providing their assessment of the Russian economical climate generally and in the transport infrastructure sector in particular.
Representatives of some of the largest Russian and international banks will share their expertise on the structuring of project finance transactions.
