Cranfield School of Management is pleased to host the Studying Leadership Conference 2006. The conference will be held at the Cranfield Management Development Centre, the School’s dedicated facility for residential conferences and programmes, at the Cranfield University campus.
The Cranfield conference will follow in the well-established traditions set by previous events at Said, Lancaster and Exeter.
In the pursuit of developing ‘Knowledge into Action’ we seek papers that, through rigorous inquiry and reflection, can develop our ideas about leadership and leadership development. We particularly welcome papers that inform and inpact the practice of leadership. We welcome papers from professional researchers and researching professionals, whether in academic or practitioner roles. Papers can draw on any discipline and may be based in the experience of any sector. Our aspiration for the Studying Leadership Conference 2006 is for all participants to leave with new understandings of the field of leadership and with practical ideas for developing leadership and that these will lead to actionable resolutions for 2007.
Submission of conference papers to Sage Journal Leadership will be encouraged. Leadership has already published papers from previous conferences. Papers submitted to Leadership will be reviewed in the normal way.
Submission of abstracts for the Conference should be made by September 22nd 2006. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words.
Further information on the conference and submission process can be obtained at www.studyingleadership.org.
