4th Successful, Compliant Investigator-Initiated Trial Programs
Venue: The Westgate Hotel
|Event Date/Time: Sep 18, 2006||End Date/Time: Sep 19, 2006|
Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) serve as the impetus in expanding our knowledge of products and disease entities for the healthcare community. They play an integral role within a product's lifecycle in terms of uptake by key clinicians, supplementing internal Phase IV programs and inspiring new research ideas. Ultimately, successful IITs contribute to organizations' overall scientific and educational objectives while optimizing an existing patent estate.
With so many potentially positive outcomes, IITs are gaining momentum amongst sponsor companies. However, the current regulatory environment has forced a shift in sponsor infrastructure from a pure Marketing function to a Medical umbrella, with input from both Regulatory,Legal, and additional coordination with Marketing. With numerous departments required to collaborate, it is often difficult to facilitate efficient and cost-effective IIT programs. Much of the motivation for sponsoring these studies is to increase product sales, yet many companies fall short due to internal dysfunction. Furthermore, these studies are conducted by external entities, requiring sponsors to relinquish significant control, which depending upon how the sponsor/investigator contract is constructed, may pose potential legal risks.
Coming off the success of prior meetings, ExL Pharma is proud to present the 4th Successful and Compliant Investigator-Initiated Trial Programs, with a focus on best practices and cutting-edge strategies to help sponsor companies maximize their IIT outcomes. Hear from Industry experts on the most pressing issues pharmaceutical companies face when conducting investigator-initiated studies.
