Event Date/Time: Sep 20, 2006
Cancer services lie at the heart of the government’s improvement agenda. Following approximately £2 billion of investment since 2000, real achievements have been made in meeting the targets of the NHS Cancer Plan. However, further redesign is required. Progress must be sustained in the long term, and learning applied to future targets. Furthermore, the wider agenda of NHS reforms must be applied to cancer services. With lack of clarity on the future shape of cancer services coupled with financial pressures, this conference comes at a critical time to drive forward service improvement with existing resources. During the conference you will learn from experts exactly how cancer services will sit within the big picture of these reforms. There will also be opportunity to hear from those successfully implementing and sustaining change, pioneering towards a truly patient-led cancer service.
