At Met Coke World Summit 2006, speakers will present their views on the critical issues facing the metallurgical coke and coal industry today; implications of the strong steel market, increased demand from markets such as India and Brazil, rising transport costs, and the industry’s new tenuous market balance. Speakers will examine China’s domestic coke and steel industries; new mine projects in Canada; forecasts for the global steel industry; seaborne and rail transport trends; coke production and consumption trends in the United States; and new technologies and cost-reduction methods to streamline the cokemaking process. Over 220 executives are expected to attend this event from industries such as coal, coke, iron and steel, plant design, project development, and international trade and transport.
