The Applied Mechanics Laboratory (AML) of the Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics Department in the University of Patras (UoP) and the Local Affiliated Society of the European Association of Aerospace Students (EUROAVIA Patras) would like to invite you to take part in the:

1st Hellenic-European Student Space Science and Technology Symposium

The Symposium will be held at the Conference and Cultural Centre (C.C.C.) of the University of Patras in the city of Patras, Greece from 9 to 11 October 2006.

The Symposium is co-organized/supported from University of Patras Rectorate, European Space Agency and Western Greece Section of the Technical Chamber of Greece. HellasSAT S.A., Patras Science Park and Cypher Technologies are kindly sponsoring the Symposium.

The Symposium will be followed by a two-day workshop to define a possible future
ESA Education project - YES3 (the third Young Engineers' Satellite) on 12 and 13 October 2006.

Topics of the Symposium include: ESA Satellite Missions, Young Engineers' Satellite 2 & 3 (YES2&3), European Student Earth Orbiter (ESEO), European Student Moon Orbiter (ESMO), Micro-satellites, Cubsats, Vega Launcher, Sounding Rockets, Stratospheric Balloons, Student Parabolic Flight Campaigns.

European Space Agency supports this event by sponsoring 65 students from ESA member states to attend the Symposium, and by providing exhibition material. All 65 students sponsored by ESA should submit a motivation letter with the possible addition of a paper, either for a 15-min oral presentation or for a poster. The
sponsorship includes travel, accommodation and lunch.

Registration is possible through the Online Registration System until 1st September
2006.
If you want to preset your work during the Symposium, you can upload your abstract after registering, until 1st August 2006.
