With the fast changing technologies and customer-driven product development in the arena of wireless communication and mobile computing, the researchers and design engineers have to cope up with the fast changing end-users’ requirement, drastically reduced time-to-market and globalization. The above complexities can be handled and managed with the increased use of objects and components based software development. Handheld devices, smart places, wearable computing and disappearing computing phenomenon are diversifying and increasingly becoming an integral part of our everyday and This International Conference is a major event to be conducted following the grand success of series of ObCom conferences during 2003 and 2004, which were audited by a good number of participants from Academia and Industry across the World. The past ObCom conferences received good contributions from academia, industry and research organizations. Our sponsors included governmental and non-governmental agencies like DRDO, ISTE, DIT, CSIR etc.working lives. It is very apt to have this years’ theme of ObCom as “Mobile, Ubiquitous & Pervasive Computing”. The theme would focus on what are the challenges and issues while designing and building the new spectrum of human-computer interfaces prevalent in Mobile, Ubiquitous & Pervasive Computing.
