The 2 day conference will cover all aspects of the use of nanotechnology in coatings, together with the latest developments in Organic-Inorganic hybrid coatings. Nanotechnology has moved rapidly from the phase of novel ideas to topical research then commercial reality. It is attracting much current interest, including government-backed research initiatives and coverage in the popular press.

Organic-Inorganic hybrid coatings seek to combine the desirable performance properties of inorganic and organic polymers. They overlap with nano cotings in that many types of hybrid coating can be classified as nanocomposites,in which organic and inorganic components are combined at a molecular level or at the level of nanoparticles.

The main purpose of the conference is to bring together experts in the fields of nano and hybrid tehcnology, enabling them to gain knowledge and insights into the potential for further development of surface coatings with novel performance properties.

Authors of new work describing research and developments in the fields of nanotechnology and organic-inorganic hybrids for coating applications are invited to submit papers for presentation atthe conference.
