Description
If mechanical reproduction of artworks had contributed to the diffusion of ideas and values created in the West to the rest of the world, based primarily on the industrial and imperial forces, the digital fusion of this century is hoped to open an alternative world for post-colonial societies of all kind. Technological innovations and social developments seem to have allowed Asians to come to their own age. But the new century is not without challenges of it¡¯s own times: uneven developments, nationalism, and identity conflicts are only some of them.
The Asia Culture Forum was conceived in lieu of this concern, and with a hope of building multiple spaces for discussion and representation. The Forum is open to all on all issues related to Asia and beyond.
