For PDRP to be effective, major players must regulate themselves, especially pharmaceutical companies and data providers. If the industry cannot police itself effectively, state legislatures in states like New Hampshire and Hawaii are likely to pass laws banning reps' access to prescriber data. Although legislation has been introduced in several states this year, AMA’s PDRP has stalled most of the bills. Therefore, only successful self-regulation can keep such laws at bay.
Our 2006 event is the first and only market driven conference that provides the pharmaceutical industry with solutions and strategies for ensuring compliance with PDRP rather than simply implementing a technical plan to manipulate data according to a contractual obligation.
