This one day conference will address new discoveries and methods in translational medicine which have been obtained by research into specific molecular pathways. This emerging field aims to combine and synthesise information about the many interactions of key biomolecules and knowledge which has historically been fragmented.

This conference will focus on the challenges in the complexity of immune pathways in disease. Topics will include mechanism-based investigation, computational modelling, therapeutic and clinical targets.

Delegates will:

Understand molecular pathway approaches

* Follow multiple molecular cause-effect processes to understand disease mechanisms
* Integrate genomic, proteomic and metabolic knowledge into one single consensus diagram

Learn about pathway analysis tools

* Graphical notation and network analysis techniques
* Transcription profiling and RNAi

Discover how this can be applied to clinical medicine

* Making decisions in drug discovery & development
* Translating discovery from the lab to the clinic, and back again
* Applications in immunity, oncology and cardiovascular disease
