International Event Partners (IEP) is pleased to announce Egypt Invest 2006, the 4th International Investment & Trade Conference for Egypt, on the 1st & 2nd of November 2006.

IEP have been organising Egypt Invest since 2003, when the Egyptian Economy was still facing major difficulties in attracting FDI and presenting a clear vision of how to move forward. The 2003 conference was a clear success from the perspective of the delegation, giving them the opportunity to openly address many of the obstacles which were faced both from current and potential investors.

This was met several months later by the cabinet shake up which brought in a new Prime Minister, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Nazif, and a fresh cabinet under his leadership. It also included the introduction of a new institution for Egypt, the Ministry of Investment.

IEP followed up this inaugural conference with Egypt Invest 2004, now under the Auspices of H.E. Dr. Nazif. The theme for this conference was “Egypt – Towards Sustainable Growth and Modernisation”. Since then we have not only learned from what these expert organizations had to say at the conference, but we now find that each has played and some are continuing to play an integral part in helping to reshape Egypt and its economy.

Egypt Invest 2005 was again breaking ground by giving investors and the government the open platform to discuss further the achievements made to date and the candidness to find out what next steps were needed to build on these achievements; under the theme of “Welcome to Your Next Business Opportunity”. IEP was honored to host His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, the UK's Special Representative for Trade and Investment, who spoke at the inaugural session with Egypt’s Premier, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Nazif. IEP also took the steps to make the 2005 conference program one which would highlight the necessity for more trade agreements to allow Egypt greater access to the region.

Egypt Invest 2006: Under the theme of “Implementation and Impact” Egypt Invest will allow businesses to look at investing in the new opportunities that this government’s strong and ongoing liberalization and privatization policies have allowed to unfold, but will also be asking the tough questions that people investing in the region need answered.

The conference will also act as a unique platform for local and foreign investors to discuss their issues with the high profile officials and investment experts. Egypt Invest will bring some of the most influential Investment Houses to the conference for 2006 and allow local and multinational companies in Egypt the opportunity to raise their proposals in the main agenda and through one-on-one meetings during the event.
