Dear Friend,

We take great pleasure in inviting your proposal for presentation and workshops at the 3rd Global Symposium: 'Towards a New World Civilization'. The 3rd Global Symposium for civil society organizations will be held from 8th to 11th December 2006 (Lucknow, India) at the 7th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (7-12 December, 2006) being organized by the World Unity and Peace Education Department of City Montessori School (CMS) at the World Unity Convention Centre in Lucknow city (India). All delegates from abroad will be provided with complimentary boarding and lodging facilities alongwith transport within Lucknow city (Local Transport). The delegates will be required to manage their own travel expenses to and from Lucknow city.

About the Global Symposium: 'Towards a New World Civilization'
The objective of the Global Symposium is to foster personal interaction, mutual understanding and collective action for a strong foundation of a nuclear-free, democratic, sustainable, just and peaceful New World Civilization by bringing together civil society organizations and leaders in the fields of art, education, science, religion, culture and media. At the last Global Symposium in year 2005, the World Unity and Peace Education Department alongwith the members of 134 civil society organizations worldwide launched the Global Partnership for World Democracy (GPWD). We would like your organization to play a leading role in strengthening this Global Partnership by your personal presence at the Global Symposium to work on the Global Action Plan for World Democracy.

About the Organizers — City Montessori School (CMS)
CMS is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest city school with over 31,000 students and is also the recipient of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education 2002. CMS believes that “School must act as the Lighthouse of Society” and provide meaningful education, spiritual direction and leadership not only to students but also to parents and society at large. CMS advocates that a ‘modern school must concern itself with the affairs of the age’ and must also act as a powerful instrument of profound social transformation. The global society is in a state of unrest struggling with the problems that disunite the human race and we at CMS believe that Unity of Mankind is the need of hour.

Victor Hugo said that "There is one thing stronger than all the armies of the world and that is an idea whose time has come." Hence, this initiative on behalf of world’s two billion children.

Nobel laureate in Economics, Jan Tinbergen said "Mankind's problems can no longer be solved by national governments, what is needed today is a World Government." This can best be achieved by strengthening the United Nations System. CMS believes that world's problems can best be solved by strengthening the United Nations System to make it an effective instrument of democratic global Governance through enforceable international law - THE IDEA whose time has come.

We also believe that World Unity is a pre-requisite for World Peace which requires a common denominator or common concern and a binding thread to bring all humanity under one umbrella. World's two billion children are the common concern for all the nations of the world and for the safety, security & welfare of our children we need to bind the whole world into the Enforceable International Law.

Mr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder-Manager of City Montessori School (CMS), is the convenor of the conference.
