This is an annual conference that intends to provide a platform to investigate latest trends and advancement in the optical and photonic arena.
13th Iran Conference on Optics and Photonic
(OPSI 13)
6-8 Feb . 2007 ITRC
Introduction :
Iran Telecom research Center (ITRC) is pleased to announce the launch of the thirteenth conference on optics ad photonics of Iran which will be held from 6th to 8th Feb . 2007 at ITRC in Tehran .
The event is intended to provide a unique opportunity for the researchers from the academia and industry among others to present their latest achievement in the field of optics and photonics and to hold exchanges with peers from overseas on recent trends and advancement regarding development and implementation of this important communication technology .
The technical committee of the OPSI 13 would therefore like to invite scholars, researchers and experts from both scientific institutes and industry to contribute to the cause of this conference by submitting their most recent research results in the form of a paper or by proposing a short course workshop or a specialized panel discussion pertaining to one or more of the topics in the technical scope of this 3-day event .
The Aim :
The conference, drawing on its past experiences will once again provide an excellent platform for the participants to engage in exciting interaction and to present their innovative achievements, sharing experiences with counter parts from Iran and overseas . It is hoped that the forum will encourage further collaboration and liaison among different parties involved in the optical and photonics field with emphasis on application aspect of this emerging technology
Scope :
Contributions must address one or more of the topics below :
- optics
- photonics
- lazer
- opto electronics
- materials and equipment
- quntum optics
- optical networks
- optical communication systems and components
- optical systems with military , industial and medical applications
Instruction for Authors
All contributions must comply with the following conditions in order tobe accepted for review :
- be original and display innovative work and include all data calculations and conclusion.
- conform to required format set out below.
- include a title, author’s name (including co- author’s) conference’s reference No. (will be given later).
- Include postal address, telephone and fax No., email address. The paper must also identity the presenter .
- indicate where research work has taken place .
- student papers must indicate supervisor’s name and affiliation
- check presentation method preference : oral poster
Paper format :
- Authors are required to make their submissions in MS word format and in compliance with the template shown in the conference website at :
http : // www.OPSI .ir
- Limit Number of pages to between three to five A4 page long and must include an abstract in both the Persian and English languages .
Side activity :
The OPSI organizers are also planning to stage an exhibition to run during the course of the main event .
Interested parties, specially people involved in the optical communication activities (including network , systems , components , lazer and opto- electronic industries) are welcome to send their proposal to display their latest systems and products .
Exhibition participation must be coordinated with the OPSI organizing committee.
