In the newly liberalised rail freight market operators are assessing the opportunities open to them and developing strategies to increase rail's market share. Such strategies will need to improve interoperability, increase co-operation between all interested parties and make rail more customer-focussed. Nevertheless, barriers to entry are still a reality and cross-border operational difficulties remain, making an analysis of these industry challenges particularly timely.

The Future of Rail Freight in Europe had an immensely successful inaugural year last November and, as with all our conferences, the programme has been extensively researched to ensure that this year's event is equally stimulating. We have a fantastic line up of speakers who will be debating the key issues facing the industry. Ensure you are part of it by registering today.

Top level speakers include:

Guiseppe Smeriglio, Director General, Trenitalia Logistics
Are Kjensli, Chief Executive, CargoNet
