Description
This three day workshop is designed to provide family physicians, pediatricians, emergency room physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, and wound care program practitioners the latest information on the process of wound healing and acute wound repair. The prevention and treatment of chronic wounds will be discussed with further emphasis on practical aspects of problem wound management. Practical experience in suturing techniques and the use of tissue cohesives (glue) will be provided using pigs' feet and cadavers under the supervision of surgeons.
