Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems

May 14-17, 2007 | Universidade do Algarve, Faro - PORTUGAL

first deadline: December 17, 2006

EATIS 2007 aims primarily at the production of scientific work around "Informaticity" (the usage of informatics in everyday life). Submitted papers hopefully should deal with issues about transversal services and applications such as digital convergence for instance. They should be oriented towards community and cultural enhancement, to build knowledge and skills for work, to improve work quality, citizenship participation as well as consumer choice.

In particular, EATIS 2007 encourages the use of Information System (IS) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), allowing citizens a better participation at various levels of government (local, regional, national and international), as well as the ethics component in the use of services and technologies related to IS and ICT.

EATIS permanent institutional goal is to actively promote academic collaboration between European and American continents universities, thus providing state-of-the-art discussions that can potentially provide key research directions to young researchers and new research groups.

EATIS network of professors and researchers in Computer Science is composed by 81 members, affiliated to 65 universities or research institutions, spread to 31 countries, around all continents. This is the basis of the EATIS Program Committee.

The conference will be done in technical cooperation with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE Computer Society, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).
