Description
Scope of the conference
Advanced clinical technologies for surgical treatments of trauma are mainly driven by the scientific understanding of the complex mechanical and mechanobiological interactions between both, biomaterial and implant. Within the near future, a significant increase in high complex fracture patterns due to demographical, technological and social changes will require new principles for functional recovery. The complexity of these structural and functional replacements and their interaction with the biological system requires interdisciplinary cooperation between all scientific fields involved. Today, for successful implant development the close scientific and practical exchange among surgeons and engineers, biological, chemical and computation experts is essential and will be even more pronounced in the future.
The 2nd Symposium on Applied Biomechanics will cover the entire spectrum from impact and trauma biomechanics through implant development to advanced clinical technologies for fracture treatment. The major scope of the conference is to bring together members of the scientific community to discuss and present new aspects in science, development and application, combining basic and applied research with clinical experience.
We are very proud to invite you to the 2nd Conference on Applied Biomechanics and are looking forward to welcoming you to the wonderful and ancient city of Regensburg, recently awarded as world cultural heritage by the UNESCO.
