International Metro Security 2007 will aim to bring together transport operators, turnkey solution providers, equipment suppliers, consultancies and academics from across the globe to discuss the future of security on Europe's metro systems. At last year’s event, held in London, the issue of terrorism dominated, with most of the audience believing that this is a problem set to increase in the future. However, as the delegates found out, there are three areas; crime, terrorism and general safety which are intrinsically linked to the overall security of a metro system.
