INDO - US WORKSHOP ON SOLID FREEFORM FABRICATION FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING AND BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS
Venue: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI),
Location: Bangalore-560 008, Karnataka, India
Event Date/Time: Feb 22, 2007 | End Date/Time: Feb 24, 2007 |
Description
Stereolithography based scaffold construction
Fused deposition modeling of bioceramics
Characterization of scaffold structures
Customised software solutions for tissue modeling
Among the numerous envisaged benefits of this workshop, the most prominent is the formulation of a centre for Computer Aided Tissue Engineering (CATE) through mutual sharing of the domain knowledge. Proceedings of the workshop would address the relevant factors such as institute-level exchange programmes, physical or virtual sharing of infrastructure, synergic research pursuits and compatibility with the science and technology policies of the respective governments, and then pave a way for closer interaction among the academia, research institutes and industries of both the countries for improving the quality of research in scaffold based tissue engineering.
Key benefits of attending :
Learning about the state of the art in bio-modeling and customised implant development
Delineating the applications of Rapid Prototyping for Scaffold based Tissue Engineering
Facilitating International Collaborations and Research programmes in Bio-materials and Bio-modeling Domains
Learn from leading experts through case studies
