Tribology at 50: State of the Art - Present and Future

The tribute to Tribology will begin on Wednesday 6 December at 1 Birdcage Walk with the Mission of Tribology which is showcasing the work and research of future Tribologists. This will be followed by an evening lecture given by Professor Emyr Roberts who is the winner of The Donald Julius Groen Prize; his lecture "The Highs and Lows of Friction in Space" will illustrate the role of friction in spacecraft.
The evening will conclude with The Tribology Jubilee Banquet which will mark 50 years of lubrication science at the IMechE. This is an ideal opportunity to network and meet the winner of The Donald Julius Groen Prize.
The Programme culminates with a one day seminar on Thursday 7 December, Tribology the Next 50 Years. This semianr is jointly hosted with The Institute of Physics and will give delegates an understanding of future Tribological needs.
