This course is a "bench level" review of routinely performed laboratory procedures for urinalysis and hematology of dogs and cats. Detailed review of urine testing and microscopic analysis of urine sediment including crystals and casts will be covered.

Basic review of methodogies used to perform complete blood counts (CBC. Review of manual tests, including peripheral blood smear, hematocrit, plasma protein and fibrinogen testing. Detailed review of peripheral blood smears of the dog and cat, including red blood cell morphology, white blood cells and platelets.

This course will provide an excellent in-service training of laboratory personnel at any level of experience.

The registration fee for this course is $475 ($400 for Students) and includes the textbook, CD, breaks, lunch and a certificate for .6 continuing education units.
