Description
The biennial EAPC Congress has the ambition to be the most important palliative care event worldwide. All palliative care professionals and volunteers are welcome and shall feel at home at the Congress. The Congress slogan is “Connecting diversity” which is a melting pot of relevant research, evidence based knowledge, policy and public health issues. All the professional fields from academic science to clinical palliative care will be covered.
The main topics of the congress, plenary lectures and follow up: A global perspective of palliative care; Complementary Medicine; Cultural and religious aspects; Education and learning; Loss in the family; Palliative care for children; Pharmacology – new developments; Quality of Palliative care; Resilience of palliative care; Sedation, physician assisted suicide and euthanasia; Symptom control; The cognitively impaired, classification, diagnosis and treatment.
