After the success of our Nuclear Industry Forum held in May, we are pleased to announce our inaugural "European Nuclear Forum" to be held in Paris next year.

This event will offer an excellent platform for all senior decision-makers involved and interested in the European nuclear industry to come together and examine key issues and challenges.

Growing energy demand, concerns over carbon emissions and the need to ensure a secure energy supply have revitalised interest in nuclear generation. However, while many see nuclear as a vital part of Europe's future energy mix, political and public opinion is divided, and issues remain surrounding decommissioning and waste management. Building on the great success of our UK event, this conference will bring together the leaders of the energy industry across Europe to assess and debate the vital issues facing the future of nuclear power.

Key issues to be discussed include:

*Nuclear developments across Europe: how are policies and opinions changing?
*Financing nuclear capacity: under what circumstances does new build become viable?
*Waste management: how should countries develop and implement an ideal solution?
*How can an ideal planning, licensing and regulatory process be ensured?
*Optimal decommissioning solutions
*How are new reactor technologies changing the nuclear industry?
*The impact of global developments
