There has never been a more interesting time in anti-infective drug development. At long last, the spotlight is shining brightly on companies who can address global anti-infective challenges. However, you only have to look at the front page news of the Wall Street Journal and New York Times to realize that despite the great advances over the last few decades, great challenges – MRSA, Hepatitis, Influenza, Anthrax -- are still upon us. With our combined and united strength and talents, we can address these unmet needs with unique and innovative technological and business methods. In that spirit, we have convened this 4th annual Anti-Infectives Partnering & Deal-Making Summit.

The Summit brings together a broad audience of representatives from government, industry and academia to participate in technical and business discussions. The sessions will provide a meaningful backdrop for useful discussion and cross-pollination of ideas.

We have designed the conference to provide both a high level view of the industry as well as dive “deep” into specific product opportunities and challenges. The conference will cover the different models for partnering (co-promote rights in partnerships, takeovers), big pharma spin offs into stand-alone biotech companies, re-emerging pathogens (MRSA community acquired, C. difficile), anti-fungals (anidulafungin, inhaled mmphotericin, hepatitis C, RSV, rhinovirus), bioshield, and the future partnering in infectious diseases, (biologics role in ID, the future of cepsis, non-government money to address unmet medical needs).

We hope to see you and your colleagues this January in San Francisco.
