    <FONT size=3>Leaders in the aviation security industry, airports, airlines, government, academia, and technology development laboratories are encouraged to participate in this important event.</FONT><FONT size=1> 

    </FONT><FONT color=#333399>Is there an formal education program?</FONT> 
    <FONT size=3>There is an official training track to the Symposium.  Training on technical subjects relating to transportation security will be offered as part of the Symposium agenda.  The training aspect is optional, but will be administered in accordance with federal training guidelines.</FONT>  <FONT size=1>

    </FONT><FONT size=3>Government employees are encouraged to take advantage of the education program offered through the Symposium.  College and university students, particularly those attending minority-serving institutions, are encouraged to attend and may receive limited financial support.

    </FONT><FONT color=#333399>Is there a technology exhibition?  </FONT>
    <FONT size=3>The technology exhibition is offered in conjunction with the Symposium and will feature security devices and systems now deployed, available, or under development.  </FONT><FONT size=1>

    </FONT><FONT size=3>Developers and manufacturers of security devices and systems should plan to participate in the Symposium's exhibition.</FONT>  <FONT size=1>

    </FONT><FONT color=#333399>Who sponsors the Symposium?</FONT> 
    <FONT size=3>The 2006 event will be sponsored by a partnership between the Transportation Security Laboratory, William J. Hughes Technical Center and the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.   Previous symposia were sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration, William J. Hughes Technical Center.  <FONT size=1>

    </FONT>National Safe Skies Alliance has been designated as the managing director of the 2006 Symposium.  Safe Skies also managed the 2001 Symposium in Atlantic City, N.J.</FONT>  <FONT size=1>
