The past decade has seen the ascendance of methods for measuring the global expression of different components of the biological landscape--genomics, proteomics, metabolomics.
These “-omics” often stand in isolation. But the time has come to integrate them to an understanding of biology at a higher level, with its complex collection of networks and pathways.
Systems Biology is likely to be the conceptual approach where the “-omics” may integrate. This symposium aims to highlight the system biology aspects of Biological and Chemical Stress phenomena in general.
