Health care systems in the 21st century are turning into a complex conundrum in a world heavily burdened with an increasing need to deal with chronic disease, ever spiraling costs and the effect of market forces. All these are compounded by the gap between the rapidly growing technological capabilities and the scarcity of innovative ideas regarding the efficient and fair provision of health services.
