Description 9th Annual Outreach Educators Conference

Presented by the Outreach Education Council
of the Alberta Teachers Association

September 28th to September 30th, 2006
Coast Terrace Inn, Edmonton

This year’s conference theme is “Leading Edge - Expanding Opportunities”. Outreach educators are on the leading edge with students, helping them to expand their opportunities! My sincere hope is that this conference will improve your teaching practices and continue to support the incredible work you do with students. The Outreach Education Council and the conference committee team are committed to serving the needs of the Outreach Council members and we are very excited about what is in store for this year’s conference!

A strong focus for this year’s conference is at-risk youth. Daily, outreach educators work with youth who are significantly at-risk of dropping out of school. This year’s conference will provide support for the work you do with students and give you some more tools for your toolbox!
