| Description |
Discover a Country that, due to its unique position within the MERCOSUR - a market of more than 200 million consumers - , its liberal banking and financial systems and a high level of education offers attractive business opportunities for Swiss and European entrepreneurs.
According to the last UNCTAD report, in 2005 direct foreign investments in Uruguay increased by 81%.
The objective of the Conference is to promote an understanding of both, the legal framework and the investment environment in Uruguay and the MERCOSUR, in order to facilitate the successful expansion of Swiss and European businesses in that area.
The Conference "Investments in the South Atlantic" is a unique opportunity for Swiss and European entrepreneurs, members of the finance community and lawyers to establish con¬tacts, to discuss and to interact with prominent Uruguayan experts from the fields of banking and finance, business, industry, intellectual property and law.
Organized by the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law in association with the Universities of Montevideo and Catania (Italy), this event is part of a series of future Conferences that will focus each time on another South American Country (Brazil, Argentina, Chile …).
