Prelude - There is a gap between software engineering practice and education. The major reasons include practitioners developing software under highly demanding economic constraints, lack of case studies which could be shared with academia, poor adoption of problem-based learning (PBL) model and students’ inability to apply knowledge in new situations. This convention aims to discuss and debate the above issues with software engineering specialists sharing their rich and varied experiences of novel methodologies, tools and research activities among the students and faculty community.
Major Events - The convention includes many students’ related events e.g. presentation/ demonstration of innovative project work, and programming contests in addition to debate and quiz competitions. It will also have tutorials for students on aspects of Requirements Engineering, Software Estimation, Architectures & Design, Software Inspection, and Verification & Validation by eminent professionals and authors. For faculty members and Ph.D. scholars, it will have presentations on software engineering emerging trends and research directions by renowned academicians and researchers providing guidance and advice based on experiences and insights into research, and teaching-learning challenges.
