Description
Access to broadband whilst 'on the move' is becoming a necessity for many European citizens. A number of initiatives to pilot satellite-to-wifi broadband internet access on trains have already been seen, with terrestrial radio services on Southern trains, one-way satellite services on GNER, Virgin and SJ (in Sweden), and two-way satellite services on Thalys, SNCF, Renfe, TrenItalia and others.
This seminar will review current and planned services together with enabling technologies and provide an update on this subject. It will provide a perfect platform for industry networking where the operators, technologists, researchers and the agencies will meet on the same platform.
