Description
After a 3-year hiatus, the US Joint Forces Command co-sponsored DCGS Worldwide Conference is back on the schedule for 3-5 April 2007, in Norfolk, VA. Conference organizers expect attendance to grow by more than 300%, and, for the first time, DCGS Worldwide will feature emerging technology exhibits showcasing communications, intelligence and networking capabilities designed to aid operating forces in accomplishing their warfighting missions.
Distributed Common Ground /Surface Systems (DCGS) provide modular, scaleable and interoperable multi-INT, full-spectrum support to the joint and combined warfighter. Because DCGS incorporates almost all of the ISR elements of the U.S. Military Services, it is widely recognized as the place where ops and Intel meet. Funding of development initiatives in FY07 and a renewed focus on DCGS capabilities (in combination with persistent ISR and actionable Intel) by USD/I makes this conference's program among the hottest tickets of the year for national agency, service and theater command stakeholders.
