The world of cardiac imaging has experienced a recent period of extraordinary growth. As a result of technological advancements coupled with a dramatic increase in clinical indications. This growth is supported by a large body of excellent clinical research. This presents the clinician with a dilemma regarding the rational and appropriate use of these new and sometimes costly imaging technologies in an attempt to provide the patient with the best possible care.
The purpose of this educational program is to provide cardiologists, cardiovascular health providers, and echocardiography/MRI technologists with a state-of-the-art review concerning the current clinical indications and use of cardiac MRI. The course will combine problem-based presentations with literature review and case presentations to increase awareness of the appropriate use of cardiac MRI and the future of MR-based imaging.
