The Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, IIT Delhi has been at the forefront of research and education in the field of biotechnology since its inception in 1978. The Department’s annual symposium, BIOHORIZON, is organised by the Biochemical Engineers and Technologists Association (BETA) to facilitate a transfer of knowledge and promote a fruitful interaction between government, academia and industry.

The present symposium is being organized jointly with South Korea in which a number of scientists and engineers from internationally renowned universities such as Seoul National University, Dongguk University, Inha University, Pusan National University, Pukyong National University etc. will participate.
