Description
The present symposium is being organized jointly with South Korea in which a number of scientists and engineers from internationally renowned universities such as Seoul National University, Dongguk University, Inha University, Pusan National University, Pukyong National University etc. will participate.
It is relevant to mention here that South Korea is the second most developed country in Asia. The importance Korea gives to Science and Technology is evident from the fact that India has about 160 scientists and engineers involved in Research and Development for one million population, while South Korea has 50 times more (while USA and Japan have 30 times more).
Besides this, many R&D laboratories and universities in Biotechnology, the Korean industry is very active in promoting the commercialization of biotechnology through a number of Bio hub Centers across the country. The participation of Korean scientists in the symposium shall enable the Indian participants to know more about the latest happening in the country in the field of Biotechnology.
